چکیده

We devised a functional form stable composite phase-change materials (PCMs) to achieve three-dimensional (3D) interconnected porous carbon aerogel structure for encapsulating polyethylene glycol (PEG). A novel homogeneity reinforced with well-interconnected was constructed by combining flexible resource from biomass guar gum hard-brittle polyimide, overcome severe shrinkage and poor mechanical performance of traditional aerogel. The supporting aerogel-encapsulated PEG produced the PCMs good stability comprehensive energy storage performance. results showed that displayed well-defined 3D structure, their capacities were 171.5 169.5 J/g, which changed only slightly after 100 thermal cycles, composites could maintain equilibrium temperature at 50.0?58.1 °C about 760.3 s. conductivity reach 0.62 W m?1 K?1, effectively enhanced response rate. And exhibited leakage-proof excellent light–thermal conversion. compressive strength can improve up 1.602 MPa. Results indicate this strategy be efficiently used develop improved high

PAF-derived nitrogen-doped 3D Carbon Materials for Efficient Energy Conversion and Storage

Owing to the shortage of the traditional fossil fuels caused by fast consumption, it is an urgent task to develop the renewable and clean energy sources. Thus, advanced technologies for both energy conversion (e.g., solar cells and fuel cells) and storage (e.g., supercapacitors and batteries) are being studied extensively. In this work, we use porous aromatic framework (PAF) as precursor to pro...

Gelatin-derived sustainable carbon-based functional materials for energy conversion and storage with controllability of structure and component

Nonprecious carbon catalysts and electrodes are vital components in energy conversion and storage systems. Despite recent progress, controllable synthesis of carbon functional materials is still a great challenge. We report a novel strategy to prepare simultaneously Fe-N-C catalysts and Fe3O4/N-doped carbon hybrids based on the sol-gel chemistry of gelatin and iron with controllability of struc...

Tomography and Spectroscopy of Structure and Degradation in Carbon Electrode Materials for Energy Conversion and Storage

Carbon materials such as activated carbon and carbon black are popular for use in electrodes for energy conversion and storage due to their conductivity and relative inertness. However, these materials are not thermodynamically stable and show various forms of degradation after long-term use [1]. Because electrode systems are inhomogeneous at a variety of length scales, improving performance an...

Metal-organic frameworks and their derived materials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion: Promises and challenges

In addition to their conventional uses, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have recently emerged as an interesting class of functional materials and precursors of inorganic materials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion technologies. This class of MOF-related materials can be broadly categorized into two groups: pristine MOF-based materials and MOF-derived functional materials. Althou...
